HOW DOES AIRBRUSH TANNING WORK?

Sunless Airbrush Tanning uses Norvell AmberSun Solution with the active ingrendient DHA. Beginning immediately upon application and for up to 4 hours afterward DHA oxidizes with the amino acids on the surface of the skin to naturally tint the skin a personalized bronze color everytime! This guarantees NO ORANGE COLOR…EVER.

In addition, Norvell AmberSun contains caffine, proven to correct and prevent skin damage from overexposure to sun. The ingredient Eurythrulose in combination with DHA serves to extend the life of your sunless spray tan and copper firming skin technologyensures better looking skin then before you tanned!

Proprietary odor inhibitor eliminates odor associated with sunless products and the scented formula is fragranced with essence of raspberry and almond extracts.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?

Skin replaces its self naturally in cycles every 28 days. Twenty-five percent of skin is exfoliated each week, causing a traditional UV-tan to slowly wear away. Sunless spray tans effect only the top 25 percent of skin, so you will want to remove this extra skin prior to tanning.

Remove dead, dry skin cells that will prevent the absorption of DHA bronzers into fresh healthy skin cells. This allows for the Norvell spray to absorb deeply into the skin and oxidize to a brilliant golden brown color. Spraying sunless products onto dry flaky skin  causes the tan to look less natural, uneven when fading and will shorten the life of your sunless tan. 

We recommend AMBER SUN SEA CORAL SALT SCRUB for a deep exfoliation and skin treatment 24-hours before your session. This provides a through, deep skin exfoliation to nourish and moisturize your skin. Second, use the AMBER SUN MOISTURIZING BODY SCRUB on the morning of your session for a light exfoliating, moisturizing and skin pH balancing treatment – this gives your skin the fuel needed for beautiful, long lasting color.

STOP! DO NOT APPLY LOTION – Do not apply lotions, moisturizers or perfumes prior to your session. Use deodorant sparingly. It is best not to apply make-up, but if you do, carefully remove make-up prior to your session.

HOW DO I BEST MAINTAIN MY AIRBRUSH TAN?

Immediately after the solution is applied and until your first shower wear dark, lose-fitting clothing and remove all jewelry. Tight clothes can rub off or smear bronzers.

Avoid Sweating! All activities that may cause you to sweat excessively and possibly cause streaking of the cosmetic bronzer. Use air-conditioning in your car on a hot day. Remember, your skin has just been tinted with a water-soluble solution.

Avoid Water! You must avoid water entirely for at least 4 hours or you will stop the tanning action of the DHA and/or cause streaking. Avoid Swimming and Spas! Avoid chemically treated swimming pools and spas for at least 24-hours after your spray tanning session to prevent color from prematurely fading.

Wait to Shower! For maximum results, wait at least 4 hours before showering and bathing. Bathe with plain water only for the first 16 hours after your session to avoid fading and stripping of instant color. 

Tan Extend/Moisturize/Refresh: The day after your session & after first shower use AMBERSUN PROLONG. This lotion helps keep your tan healthy and skin moisturized while adding a refreshing glow each day to your color. Prolong is formulated to help your color fade gradually and evenly. HOW LONG WILL MY AIRBRUSH TAN LAST?

With proper maintenance your sunless airbrush tan will gradually fade within 7 days.
